Most parents have ultrasounds of their children in the womb. Some
are sucking their fingers, some are exploring ;) ... I was playing air
guitar on my umbilical cord. At around the age of 12 I discovered my
old man's record collection. Beetles, Hendrix and Led Zeppelin
fueled my guitar hard-on. My first guitar was a synsonics terminator
I think. Ran off a 9 volt battery and had a speaker in it. I wish I still
had it. I'd set it in the bathroom and poop on it ... repeatedly. I'd
poop right into the speaker. Unfortunately my playing at the time was
equally poopy. After nearly a decade of playing with myself and
learning the ways of the force, I began my journey in search of the
missing links to the quad-lazer. An ancient musical weapon once
wielded by the titan of rocking, Viatar, who is half violin and half
guitar. Not to be confused with the titan of anti-rocking, Guitolin, who
is half guitar and half violin. My path led me to inhabiting numerous
underpasses and once underneath a life guard tower. Some years and
a handful of bands later, I felt a disturbance in the force. The hand
of destiny guided me to learn the ways of the lube technician. There I
remained until destiny returned with a new mission. Circa 2004 I
changed the oil for a mysterious dude in sunglasses. Was it the
familiar smell, or perhaps the force, which indicated the presence of
another wisened in the ways of music. There was a meeting ... um .. it
was at this one place and uh happened um yeah some time ago. The
details are very hazy but I know it was important. Ask Stein. He was
there too. After the smoke cleared, I realized I had in fact two
parts of the quad-lazer all along. The power of lead and the power of
bass. Stein possessed the other two pieces. The power of drums and
the power of rhythm. My life's purpose fulfilled, and the quad-lazer
at hand, we shall not rest till we put PushWater into the ear holes of
every man, woman and child.
